Google Glass Will Help Blind See

Google Glass is one of the most innovative technologies to be released in recent years. Google Glass displays a computer experience right in front of the user’s eyes. Several apps exist for Google Glass already that allow users to browse the web and update their social media feeds. While these are useful features, they are not groundbreaking. Now an app is being developed that will actually help the blind and visually impaired to see.

OpenGlass is an app that can identify places and objects in front of the user. Google Glass will send a picture of what the user sees, and it will be received by a team of operators who will send a description back to the user that will be read aloud by the eyeglasses.
