In Greek mythology, The peacocks eye feathers, were said to be the eyes of Hera’s most faithful watchman, Argus. He was a giant who had one-hundred eyes and when he was slain by Hermes, Hera took his eyes and put them into the tail feathers of her favorite bird – the peacock
